In Colombia the growth of the fashion industry has allowed the emergence of specialized photographers, with concepts and novel ideas which have managed to convey desires, arouse jealousy or evoke dreams. Photographers are artists, like painters or architects.

From the origins of photography, theatre and cinema staging itself was assimilated by fashion photography as an essential weapon to present a specific trend.

According to photographer Efren Isaza, "A fashion photographer should be capable to transmit a high point of conceptualization through an image and at the same time to be able to create both, an intelligent and stunning commercial image".
